Last Year I Didn't Know How to Spell Mentor, This Year I Are One

Everyone should be a mentor.

If you're not a mentor, then you miss out on things like the following voicemail:

"Hello, Apurul, can we come to your house to eat the pancakes?"

Resulting in nights like this:

Every dinner party should end with a creative experience. Ours was painting pottery.

I loved how a man at church said it last week- "last year I didn't know how to spell mentor, this year I are one." Anyone can do this. And you should. It's amazing to love on kids that aren't yours. Especially kids that don't often have experiences outside of their neighborhood. And need an adult to be their champion. All you need is a willing heart and pancake mix.
